Terms of Service

Welcome to I Know! ("App", "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the I Know! mobile application. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. The App is rated 12+ on app stores. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Account Registration

• You may register using email/password, Apple Sign-In, or Google Sign-In.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information during registration. Impersonation or false information may result in account termination.
• Your username is publicly visible on leaderboards. Choose appropriately.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate scores, earn additional rewards, or circumvent restrictions is prohibited.

3. Game Rules & Fair Play

I Know! is a trivia quiz game with multiple game modes. By playing, you agree to:

• Play fairly — Do not use bots, scripts, automation tools, or external aids to gain unfair advantages.
• Not manipulate scores — Attempts to exploit bugs, race conditions, or API vulnerabilities to inflate scores, lives, or streaks will result in immediate account suspension.
• Not reverse-engineer — Do not decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer the App or its server communications.
• Accept leaderboard visibility — Your username, avatar, and scores are displayed publicly on leaderboards.

4. Lives (Hearts) System

• Playing a game mode requires spending one life ("heart").
• You receive 1 free life per day (resets at UTC 00:00).
• Additional lives can be earned by watching rewarded video ads (up to 6 ads per day, 3 lives per ad).
• Lives can also be purchased via in-app purchases or earned through streak rewards and badges.
• Lives have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, traded, or refunded outside of app store refund policies.

5. In-App Purchases

• The App offers consumable in-app purchases (life/heart packages) processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or the respective app store's refund policy.
• Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region.
• You may restore purchases on a new device using the "Restore Purchases" button in the Shop.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing, packages, or promotional offers at any time.

6. Advertising

• The App displays rewarded video ads only. You voluntarily choose to watch an ad to receive in-game rewards (lives).
• There are no forced ads, banner ads, or interstitial ads.
• Ad personalization depends on your tracking consent (iOS ATT / GDPR consent). You may opt out at any time via device settings.
• Daily ad viewing is limited to 6 rewarded videos per day.

7. Intellectual Property

• The App, its design, code, content, questions, and branding are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.
• Quiz questions are curated or generated content. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use question content from the App.
• Your user-generated content (username, avatar photo) remains your property, but you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within the App (e.g., on leaderboards).

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use offensive, hateful, or inappropriate usernames
• Upload inappropriate or illegal content as your avatar
• Harass other users or attempt to access their accounts
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities (report them to us instead)
• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Interfere with the App's infrastructure or other users' experience

9. Account Suspension & Termination

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice.
• Reasons for termination include: cheating, score manipulation, abusive behavior, multiple account abuse, or any violation of Section 8.
• Upon termination, your data may be deleted permanently.
• You may delete your own account at any time through Settings > Delete Account. This action is irreversible.

10. Disclaimers

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or accuracy of quiz content.
• Leaderboard rankings are based on gameplay data and may be adjusted if manipulation is detected.
• We are not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to secure your credentials.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of virtual items (lives/hearts), or inability to access the service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or by updating the Effective Date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
